Cross my heart
Discovered in the Muscle Shoals Sounds
vaults, this is one of a handful of songwriters demo 45’s
made in the early 70's to promote
the song which was picked up & released on 45 by Tamiko
Jones on Metromedia. This is the
original version co-written and
performed by George Soule and although a demo it does sound
remarkably well finished and is a superb
song with a great finger-snapping feel to it.
A Soul Sam exclusive spin from a couple of years ago.

I feel your love changing
This is the ORIGINAL

Esther Philips AND Sharon Ridley. A male version by
the songs co-writer, the legendary Jesse James and it's an unreleased
track from his second
stay at 20th Century Records in the mid 70's. Very tasty! |

Compared to what
Classic Northern Soul oldie that always seems to come around!
This is the 1975 UK Bulldog issue and is the same version of
the song by them that came out previously on UK Ember in the
late 60's (I think the version by them on US GM is
different?) This is the best version!
