We ran regular MONTHLY ONE-ROOM Soul nights at THE ORWELL, Wigan Pier, Wigan for NINE years until the Pub shut it's doors earlier this year! We are ready to re-launch with a 9th Anniversary Special at Bury Town Hall in July 2009.

As we neared the end of our ninth year, The Orwell in Wigan had become one of the most talked about and well respected Soul nights in the UK!

Playing predominantly 70's Modern & Crossover, we had many of the UK's top Modern & Rare Soul DJ's playing at 'The Home Of Soul'.

The resident DJ's are Flanny, Barry Maleady, Steve Plumb & Steve Connor who between them have a collection of original 70's Modern Soul, Crossover & Northern Soul to die for!

The legendary Soul Sam played there many times and saw it as his spiritual home! We also occasionally secured the services of the legendary UK DJ Butch! Butch mainly played a 70's & Crossover set for us! As the top Northern Soul DJ in the WORLD Butch proved that he was without doubt worthy of that title on the 70's & Crossover scene too!
